Eliseo

Trust grows with little steps AND sausages 💛🌿

ELISEO spent an estimated eight to ten years in a small Spanish village. His home was… the countryside around a roadside restaurant. They fed him there, and he knew every bush, every dusty track and every shady spot beneath the trees. People even say he had a canine friend for years, until his friend died and Eliseo was left alone. Then the restaurant changed hands, and the new owner saw him as nothing more than a dirty nuisance… He was taken away and spent a year at Cuatro Patas Jumilla. He no longer understood what was happening. To us, it was a rescue. To him, it probably felt like being kidnapped.

Today, he is an old gentleman with stiff joints, worn-out legs and a heart that has been broken far too often. Now he is at La Casa Vagabundo. Here, he has the space to get used to life indoors at his own pace: a soft bed, a few trees to nap beneath and a warm spot by the stove in winter.

The very first gentle strokes of his long life have now become a reality. Eliseo is already proving to be the perfect senior housemate.
